THE book PPHN Without Amendments is written based on the dissertation of the Speaker of the MPR, Bambang Soesatyo, titled ‘The Role and Legal Form of the Basic Principles of State Policy as the Legal Framework for Sustainable Development in the Face of Industry 5.0 and a Golden Indonesia’.
This is the third book by Bamsoet that focuses on dissecting the urgency of deploying the Basic Principles of State Policy (PPHN). Two previous books on PPHN have been published, under the titles Preventing a Directionless State and The State Needs Direction. This latest book was released at the Open University Convention Center, South Tangerang, on Tuesday, March 21, 2023.
PPHN Without Amendments describes the scientific truths regarding the PPHN concept as the legal framework for the implementation of sustainable development in the context of facing the Industrial Revolution 5.0 and a Golden Indonesia. The founders of the Indonesian nation, in fact, from the outset of independence, prepared a national direction as a road map for the nation’s future development.
By reintroducing the national direction concept, now under the nomenclature of PPHN, it is possible to ensure harmony and continuity of development between the central and regional governments, between one region and another, and between one governing period to its successor.
It also ensures that development is not just carried out based on execution by utilizing the people’s money through the state budget (APBN). But, it is primarily based on meticulous planning. For instance, in the planning for the new Indonesian capital (IKN) in East Kalimantan, bringing back PPHN can ensure that its implementation will not be abandoned halfway.
